If your ideal romantic vacation involves some combo of playing in the snow, snuggling up by a fireplace, savoring a gourmet meal, or getting pampered at a luxury spa, Park City has plenty of properties that fit the bill. These five hotels offer the perfect escape for you and your significant other on Valentine’s Day—or any time of year.
When your getaway includes riding up a glass funicular surrounded by stunning mountain views to your hotel, how can it not be romantic? The St. Regis offers the high-end touches you’d expect—world-class spa, well-appointed rooms, ski-in/ski-out access, a gorgeous outdoor pool—with some unique-to-Park City amenities that make it truly memorable. The onsite RIME restaurant serves impeccable seafood and steak dishes, best accompanied by wine from its 10,000(!) bottle collection. Grab a specialty cocktail from the St. Regis Bar and don’t miss the daily sunset champagne sabering, done in front of the hotel’s gorgeous Deer Valley Resort backdrop.
Bed-and-breakfast comfort meets luxury boutique touches at the 12-room Washington School House Hotel, built in a—you guessed it—former school house. Vintage European antiques give it a sophisticated feel, but amenities like the downstairs ski lounge keep the vibe relaxed and casual. The location, tucked discreetly just off Main Street near Park City Mountain Resort, makes it perfect for couples looking for an intimate, unique destination. Start your day with a complimentary breakfast by the fireplace in the living room; end it with s’mores at the outdoor fire pit.
This cozy, elegant lodge also grants you easy ski-in/ski-out access to Deer Valley’s slopes. Book a couples’ massage at the onsite Forbes Five-Star spa or relax in the hot tub on your private deck after ordering room service, available 24 hours a day. New during COVID-19, Stein Eriksen offers four climate-controlled Alpenglobes—think glass igloo with 360-degree panoramic views—which hotel guests can reserve for a 90-minute meal.
From the second you pull into its tree-lined entrance to reach the valet stand, it’s clear that The Montage epitomizes luxury. There’s plenty on property to keep you and your significant other busy, with ski-in/ski-out Deer Valley access and multiple restaurants. In the mood for Veuve Clicquot and caviar? Head to The Après Lounge, the property’s cozy yurt. If you and your partner are more of the get-pampered types, splurge on the Escape to Serenity, a couples treatment that includes a massage, a mountain herbal soak, reflexology and more, at Spa Montage.
Located at the Canyons Base Area of Park City Mountain Resort, the Waldorf Astoria gets you into an après-ski mood just 35 minutes after you leave the the Salt Lake City Airport. The modern-mountain property features snow getaway essentials like fireplaces, outdoor fire pits, a heated pool, and hot tubs for snuggling up with your spouse. Tired after a day of tackling powder runs? The onsite spa offers ski-friendly treatments like an Invigorating Foot Therapy for relieving tired legs.
